TUNJI AKINSEHINWA

TUNJI AKINSEHINWA is a highly seasoned Cinematographer. His work includes:

"The Turtle and the Nightingale" broadcast on HBO."

and “The African Masters” documentary series for The Africa Channel, UK.

Tunji has worked on various promo, charity, and corporate projects, such as "A look at the work of the Black & Asian Forum" for BBC, and " A Productive World” for IBST Media and Plastic Pictures, UK.

Tunji has operated the camera on large-scale live-broadcast events such as BAFTA 2012 for Variety Magazine and Live and Global which broadcasted to 190 countries online) as well as the Global Branding live programme, broadcast from UK to Israel. Tunji's accolades include Best Cinematography Award for 'Virtual Reality' at the 2002 London International Black Film Festival and Best Cinematography Award for 'Laters', at the 2004 London International Black Film Festival.

He has worked in the following countries - Ghana, Nigeria, Rep. of Benin, Portugal, Cuba, Spain (The Canary Islands), USA, India, Senegal, and other countries shooting documentaries as a photographer and filmmaker. In Nigeria, he worked on his first feature film, OJUJU, which won the award for Best Nigerian Film, at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), where it was premiered.

He divides his time as a lecturer, formerly tutoring in cinematography, at the Northern Film School in Leeds, UK, and Salford University, UK, More recently, he has been appointed head of cinematography at the Graig-Phillips Film School in Lagos.
